Overview

Who is H.S.D. Consulting?  In the late 1970’s, the federal government passed the Self Determination Act granting the native tribes of the United States the right to create self-sustaining corporations.  H.S.D. Consulting was established in Anchorage, Alaska in 1989, in response to the need of the Yupik, Chupik, and Inuit tribes of North America to establish pharmacy services and strategic plans for independent native-run operations.  H.S.D. Consulting worked with these tribes throughout the divesting period of the United States Public Health Service.  H.S.D. Consulting expanded to the international arena during the Somalia Crisis of 1991, providing pharmacy direction and logistical guidance to numerous relief organizations including MSF (Doctors Without Borders), UNICEF, IMC, and Save the Children.  Currently H.S.D. Consulting is based in Cleveland, Ohio and continues to focus on nonprofit and quasi-governmental organizations.  Although healthcare has been its focus since its inception, H.S.D. Consulting is expanding into a broad array of service organizations providing workshop training, organizational diagnostics and interventions, and one-on-one managerial coaching.
